Surfboard shipping costs depend on the length, width, destination, and UPS size rules. Here's a clear breakdown:
- Boards under 5'11" and 21" wide: Standard UPS Ground, no oversize surcharge. Typical cost $65–$120 depending on destination. Exact live rates shown in cart at checkout.
- Boards over 5'11" or wider than 21": Considered oversized by UPS. Typical cost $150–$240 including oversize charges. Live pricing shown in cart before checkout.
- Boards over 8': Exceed standard UPS limits and cannot ship via regular UPS Ground. We offer free in-store pickup at Rider Shack in Los Angeles, or airport cargo pickup via freight (typically around $200). Please contact us for a personalized freight quote.
- California Coastal Delivery: We offer delivery to coastal cities from San Diego to San Francisco for a flat fee of $100. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.
- Free In-Store Pickup: All surfboards are available for free pickup at our Los Angeles store at 13211 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90066.
- Free Weekly Meet-Ups: We offer free weekly meet-ups for deliveries along the coast from Ventura to Pismo Beach. Meet-up deliveries need to be coordinated with the shop in advance — please contact us to arrange.

The PARALLAX PLUS is a classic long hull. This design was first seen under nat young during the summer of 68. By all accounts the most prolific surfing ever seen at Malibu. His performance that summer started a cult following that still haunts the hollowed walls of surfrider beach today. We obviously put our spin on that original concept. More rocker, less roll, performance rail and modest two plus one fin setup makes this one is a life changer. Speed, power, flow. (Concept designed by CJ X Ryan Engle)
Difference between the original Parallax and the new Parallax Plus?
"We added some width to the tail and tamed the "hull" aspects just a touch (entry roll, rocker and down/edge rails on the tail). Basically blending some contemporary design elements with the already tried and true Parallax model. That along with the side bites makes for what we think is the smoothest and maneuverable longboard we make." - Ryan Engle
Several fins work well with the Parallax Plus. For a 2+1 setup, CJ’s 8.5" Performance Center with Skylimit sides is a solid choice, with the option to size down to 8" or 7.5" for smaller boards like the 7'10" or 8'3". For a single fin setup, go with CJ’s 9.5" Power Flex, or choose the Parallax or Involvement in 9.5" or 10".
