Lost Step Driver Bro

Filters

The Lost Step Driver Bro is the higher-volume, more approachable version of the Step Driver — built with “Bro Dims” (added width, thickness, and liters) so everyday surfers can handle powerful surf with more confidence and paddle power.

Based on the same Driver 2.0 / Driver 3.0 lineage as the standard Step Driver, the Bro version keeps the same step-up performance tuning but adds extra foam where surfers actually need it: under the chest, through the rails, and into the tail block.

If you’ve always wanted a true step-up but felt most were too narrow, too low-volume, or too “pro only,” the Step Driver Bro is the board that finally makes proper step-up surfing accessible.

Who Is the Lost Step Driver Bro For?

  • Bigger / stronger surfers who want a trustworthy step-up.
  • Intermediate surfers who want a forgiving board for bigger surf.
  • Advanced surfers who want more paddle power than the standard Step Driver.
  • Traveling surfers headed to punchy reef or point breaks.

Lost Step Driver Bro Design Features

“Bro Dims” = More Foam, More Confidence

  • Wider outline nose to tail for stability at speed.
  • Extra thickness under the chest for strong paddling and early wave entry.
  • Higher volume for confidence in challenging surf.
  • Still refined enough to maintain the Driver series performance feel.

Performance Step-Up Geometry

Like the standard Step Driver, the Bro model uses:

  • A more pulled-in tail for hold in the pocket.
  • A slightly narrowed outline (compared to everyday boards) where it counts.
  • More rocker than a daily shortboard for late drops and hollow sections.

Bottom Contours

  • Single concave forward for speed.
  • Deep double concave through the fins for grip and stability.
  • Slight vee off the tail for smoother transitions.

Rails & Feel

  • Rails are fuller than the standard Step Driver but still tapered enough for precision.
  • Tail foil thinned to maintain sensitivity despite added volume.
  • The board feels stable, powerful, and trustworthy at high speed.

Fin Setup

Typically built as a thruster for ultimate control in powerful surf.

Ideal Wave Conditions

  • Chest-high to double overhead+ waves.
  • Reef breaks, hollow point breaks, and strong beach breaks.
  • Anytime your daily board starts to feel too small or too loose.

What Size Step Driver Bro Should You Ride?

  • Same length or +1–2 inches compared to your standard Driver 3.0.
  • More volume than your usual shortboard — this is intentional.
  • If you're unsure, we can size it based on height, weight, fitness, and home break.

Strong beach breaks, reefs, and powerful point waves — anywhere heavy.
