Futures Mayhem Twinzer Large Fin Set
About Futures Mayhem Twinzer Large Fin Set
Futures Mayhem Twinzer Fin Set - Large
The Futures Mayhem Twinzer fin set in Large, designed by Matt Biolos, is a modern performance-driven take on the classic Twinzer concept. Built as a TWINZER+ setup, this fin package adds a rear stabilizer trailing fin to bring more punch, more power, and more control than a typical twin, Twinzer, or twin plus trailer setup. It is a great choice for surfers looking to combine the speed and freedom of a twin with a more connected, controlled feel through high-performance surfing.
Like traditional Twinzer designs, the forward canard fins work to extend the base, claw into the wave face, and apply added pressure to the bottom of the board. Because of this enhanced engagement, the main twin fins use a more upright, narrower-base, lower-area outline inspired by the fast-reacting snip-tip twin templates popular in modern surfboard design. The canards are shaped to flow seamlessly with the main twins, using a matching tip template and a trailing edge that parallels the leading edge of the primary fin for a smooth, coordinated feel through turns.
The rear trailer uses the same Futures mini box as the canards and is designed with a forgiving tip template that releases easily when pushed. Built in fiberglass, the Mayhem Twinzer offers a dependable, solid flex pattern with a clean performance feel. By combining Futures ILT technology with their Twinzer box system, this setup creates an exceptionally strong fin-to-board connection while keeping the tail light and balanced. In the Large size, it is ideal for surfers 165 pounds and up who want a sleek, modern Twinzer setup with added control and powerful response.
