Learn to surf with a true SoCal local! Raised in Santa Monica, Ca., Katie was naturally drawn to the ocean and its majestic waves at the age of four and would go "boogie boarding" with her parents. Then, one day in seventh grade, Katie was in class and noticed friends looking through a surfing magazine. She was immediately intrigued and knew she had to try it and that's when her love affair with surfing began.
Fast-forward 11 years later and Katie has competed locally and surfed in oceans all over the world, including up and down the California coast, Mexico, The Big Island, Oahu, Kauai, Israel and Florida.
She's taught hundreds of people ranging in age from 3 to 80 and has been featured on multiple television shows. She's also instructed a handful of celebrities.
